Aina J Khan is a writer and journalist with a focus on minority communities, faith and identity. Her work has been published with The Guardian, The Independent, The Islamic Monthly, and VICE. Born and bred in west London, she moved to west Bradford when she was fifteen and has lived there for the last nine years, straddling London and Bradford since.
As well as working with Southbank Centre on the WOW Bradford festival which celebrates women and young girl and takes a frank look at the obstacles they face, she is currently reading an MA in Religion in Global Politics at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
