Associate Artist 20-21
Kat is a writer/actor born and based in Bradford. She is the first recipient of Kay Mellor Fellowship, which will mean her developing a new play with Leeds Playhouse and TV work with Rollem Productions in 2020. Earlier this year, she wrote and performed a monologue on Aphra Behn, as part of Shakespeare’s Globe’s Notes to Forgotten She-Wolves. In 2018 she was commissioned by the Arts Council and The Bronte Society to make Jane Hair: The Brontes Restyled which will go on tour in 2020. Her play ‘£1 Thursdays’ is in development with Out of Joint Theatre Company. Pick n Mix was developed through Freedom Studios’ Street Voices development programme for writers and a 10 minute excerpt was performed at 2019 Bradford Lit Festival.
